Employees and guests need a ticket for entry. There is no cost for tickets. When selecting tickets, please register yourself and all your guests. 

Take your family and friends to the shipyard for BIW Family Day Open House on Saturday, June 7 from 8:30 a.m. to noon! All ages are welcome. While showing them the great work we do here at BIW, enjoy activities such as booth displays, crew sales, light refreshments (water, coffee, popcorn), kids activities and more.

Each BIW family has the opportunity to tour one ship. Guests must be five years or older to go on the ship and feet must be covered (no open-toed shoes or heels). Easier routes without ladders will be available on each ship.

All employees must RSVP to receive tickets in order to attend the BIW Family Day Open House. These tickets can either be in hard copy or shown on mobile phone to enter the event. Guests must be with badged employee.

Employees can bring up to six guests. If you would like to bring more guests, send your request to openhouse@gdbiw.com.

Arriving to the Open House: Entry is at the Main Gate in the north end of the yard and at South Gate. Parking is available at all BIW lots and shuttles will serve off-site lots at the Taste of Maine lot (161 Main Street, Woolwich) and the West Bath remote lot (333 State Road, West Bath). People using wheelchairs should park in the handicapped spots at the south end.
